What You Need, Is A Wonky Clock.

Aint it funny that having a routine, is what makes us feel grounded.

Yet having a routine, is what makes us feel bored.

Life: Defined (But Not Definite)

It's only scary if you let it be true... =)

...and its funny because it is. (^_^)

The Light, It Burns... Why Am I Hearing Birds?

Is it weird that I get suspicious and uneasy when I actually wake up before any of my alarms?

It just doesnt feel... normal. Gimme groggy bleary-eyedness over alert springy-outta-bedness anyday. (O.=)

EeeEEEeeeeEEEEeeeEEEKS!

Why be awkward and nerdy locally when you can do it on international tv in front of an audience of a quarter of a billion in no less than 6 countries?!

Coz that lil tv show thingy I took part in a few months back is really going on the air... eeeeps!

Heehee! (^^)

Taiwan is not one of the six countries it'll be aired in... dunno whether I should be thankful or envious... (0.-)

Still... Eeeeeeeh!

Notable Quotables: Day 6

Day6: Coz its the closest written account I've ever seen; to matching a description of the way I think.

A lot of this was beyond him, but to people like Ridcully this didn't matter for very long.

Ridcully was simple-minded.

This doesn't mean stupid. It just meant that he could only think properly about things if he cut away all the complicated bits around the edges.

Notable Quotables: Day 5

Day5: A reason why I don't say no anymore.

'You know what the greatest tragedy is in the whole world?'

said Ginger, not paying him the least attention.

'It's all the people who never find out what it is they really want to do or what it is they're really good at. It's all the sons who become blacksmiths because their fathers were blacksmiths. It's all the people who could be really fantastic flute players who grow old and die without ever seeing a musical instrument, so they become bad ploughmen instead. It's all the people with talents who never even find out. Maybe they are never even born in a time when it's even possible to find out.'

She took a deep breath.

'It's all the people who never get to know what it is they can really be. It's all the wasted chances. Well, Holy Wood is my chance, do you understand? This is my time for getting!'

- Terry Pratchett, Moving Pictures

Notable Quotables: Day 4

Day4: A reason why I do what I do.

Magrat wondered what it was like, spending your whole life doing something you didn't want to do.

Like being dead, she considered, only worse, the reason being, you were alive to suffer it.

- Terry Pratchett, Wyrd Sisters

Notable Quotables: Day 3

Day3: I'm beginning to spot a recurring trend in the type of books I read... (¬_¬)

Will had never wanted to fall in love. When it had happened to friends it had always struck him as a peculiarly unpleasant-seeming experience, what with all the loss of sleep and weight, and the unhappiness when it was unreciprocated, and the suspect, dippy happiness when it was working out. These were people who could not control themselves, or protect themselves, people who, if only temporarily, were no longer content to occupy their own space, people who could no longer rely on a new jacket, bag of grass and an afternoon rerun of The Rockford Files to make them complete.

Notable Quotables: Day 2

Day2: Coz its manly. =P

"There was an English poet-a Welsh poet, to be exact-who wrote, ‘Do not go gently into that good night.’ Do you remember it?"

"Yes. His name was Dylan Thomas and he died in his mid-thirties. He was saying fight like a son of a bitch. Don’t give in."

- Robert Ludlum, The Bourne Ultimatum

Notable Quotables: Day 1

I've seemed to have collected a few quotes over the years... here are some of more recent ones that I found on my pda... fleshed out over a few days... coz I wanna sound all deep and wisdomous like. (^^)

Day1: I like this one coz for all its passive non-PCness... in the end it makes sense. =P

Don't get me wrong. I know Im objectifying women, but I do so without malice. I know in my own heart I don't mean anything bad by it. I just talk about everything that way. That's what all men do. We look at a picture in Playboy and say,

"Whew. Nice lines."

When we get to know the woman as a person, she's no longer an object. I wonder if it's similar but reversed for women? Because of our appearance, they project all sorts of feelings onto us that aren't there:

"That guy's like such and such, I can tell. He wants me."

Then they get to know us and we wind up as objects.

"I always knew he was a lug nut."

Universal Constants: Missed Demographics & Poo Humour Transcends Translation

What was already established in Japan has now to be turned out to be also the case in Taiwan:

I'm befafflingly popular with kids under 10, and middle-aged housewives. Yet it's just that bit in the middle where it all goes eeeehh..... (O.-)

Hehe I'd be set if I was into older women... and adultery... or was just a pedo...

..Wait wha...? (O.O)

In other news, met a kindergarden teacher the other day with easily the best.kiddies.book.ever...

Three things:
- 1. Those are dung beetles.
- 2. There's a page that features a sloth with constipation.
- 3. There's a page that features a lion with the runs.

Everything is illustrated. In full colour. With different shades and everything.

Taiwan kids get a much fuller education than a person might expect... (^_^)
